Our Approach to Learning & Development
Today organisations need the learning to be delivered directly into the working environment at the time when staff need the knowledge, skills and behaviours. Training courses have their place but a more dynamic learning environment is required to meet business needs.
For each client, we provide the distinct blend of learning that fits with the availability and timing of the participants. We using experiential classroom training, e-learning materials, coaching, facilitating and virtual learning. These are supported by a variety of tools including 360 profiles, personality profiles, team profiling which help participants to understand their own contributions to the working environment.
Citrix GoToTraining platform
We use the Citrix GoToTraining platform which allows us to bring together groups locally and internationally through the internet. the virtual learning might only be part of the process, complimenting classroom events and e-learning modules. The system simulates the classroom environment with questions, discussions, breakout rooms, team presentations supported by short facilitator presentations. The facilitator can work within the breakout rooms checking on progress, coaching teams through their challenges and then have everyone come back together to present their findings using whiteboard presentations. Because the facilitator has video connection to every participant and has a variety of engaging activities built into the program, engagement is very high and results are effective.
Because there is no requirement to travel – for either the participants or the facilitator – the classroom duration can be kept to a maximum of two hours – focusing in on user relevant material that can be applied immediately in the workplace. Staff do not disappear for days at a time but fit their work around the sessions. Sessions can be programed on a daily or weekly basis to ensure a discipline of participation.
