Tools to support our Consulting Process

The Denison Model

denison_logo.png

The research undertaken by the Dr Dan Denison and his team has resulted in the most effective definition of a high performance culture and their toolbox allows companies to define the plan and measure the success in moving towards this culture. The company works in association with the Denison consultants to develop your understanding of your organisational culture and how it might be changed. We can then support this with a full program of leadership development and facilitated workshops.

The Denison Model provides a comprehensive, yet easy to interpret guide for organizational change through two frameworks: The Organisational Culture Model and the Leadership Development Model. Built on the same foundation, both models describe the characteristics of high-performance business culture and leadership and measure four essential traits of all organizations.

The Denison Organizational Culture Survey (DOCS) has increasingly become the cultural and organizational effectiveness assessment tool of choice. It has been used by more than 5,000 companies worldwide since first becoming available over 20 years ago.

Using the Denison Organizational Culture Survey, organizations are able to benchmark their organizational culture scores against a global database and develop action plans to improve their current practices.

The DOCS is designed to assess an organization’s strengths and weaknesses as they apply to organizational performance. The survey has 60 items that measure specific aspects of an organization's culture in each of the four traits and twelve management practices outlined in the Denison Model.

We work closely with your team to customize the scale and scope of your survey implementation. In particular, we help you identify the core organizational areas that will be assessed by the survey, and discuss any additional areas you might wish to explore through additional survey items including scaled items, open-ended questions and Content Modules.

Talent Dynamics

Talent Dynamics is a spectacular methodology which not only provides individual feedback on their strengths and weaknesses but also brings clarity to their contribution in the team. The company provides clients with the questionnaire and individual feedback, together with workshops that help redefine team contributions and build trust as people concentrate on those elements which allow them to shine, move into flow and deliver high quality outputs.

Culture & Engagement

culture_logo.png

The culture, values and level of employee engagement within an organisation are widely acknowledged as having a key influence on its performance and effectiveness. These influences can be both positive and negative, and may impact on both harder quantitative aspects of organisational performance (eg productivity, profitability) and softer qualitative aspects (eg staff morale, motivation and team work).

It has also been suggested that the most effective business leaders are those who pay attention not only to what a company does in terms of its operations, but also to how it does it. Additionally, the impact of an organisation's culture and values often extends beyond those who work directly for it - for example, it can also impact on customers, suppliers and prospective recruits.

An organisation's culture, values, and engagement will therefore have a crucial impact on the way it operates. It influences what behaviours are rewarded, how people work together and how decisions are made. Managers need to have access to accurate, reliable and comprehensive information about their organisation's perceived culture and values and to act promptly yet sensitively to deal with the implications that follow.

It is not until you have identified your organisation's strengths and development needs that you can create an effective solution that will form a solid foundation for the future. Culture & Engagement provides you with the foundation stone for change in your organisation, and is a real catalyst for improving business performance.

The model looks at three dimensions of culture:

Organisatonal culture – clarity of vision, motivation, learning, employee engagement

People values – integrity, team work, customer focus, diversity, staff development

Task values – quality, innovation, business, autonomy

Three Sixty

The 360° service looks at specific aspects of people's working behaviour, such as their people management, team working or interpersonal style, with a view to improving it. It is based on objective data gathered from those well positioned to observe the individual at work - typically their own staff, peers and manager. Feedback, whilst dealt with anonymously, is therefore very specific, meaningful and powerful. We use this to support cultural change by recognising the new behaviours that support the new ways of working and encourage leaders to take these on, measuring their success from before the change to some time after the change,

Benefits

  • Huge flexibility - select from a bank of questionnaires and 40 pre-designed competencies, or create your own – and thereafter fully customisable
  • Sophisticated development narrative - our threesixty° tool identifies solutions as well as issues
